Hopeful Through Horses

Veronica’s journey with Birdie began when she adopted her from Colby’s Crew Rescue in October 2023. Despite the setback of Birdie breaking her coffin bone shortly before arriving home, Veronica has been tirelessly working to rehabilitate her. With unwavering determination, she holds onto the hope that Birdie will one day become her para dressage horse.

Birdie is supported by an exceptional team of individuals, businesses, and sponsors. The opportunity for adding sponsors to The Birdie Project is always wide open, presenting exciting possibilities for collaboration and support.

Read about Veronica’s decision to adopt Birdie, followed by her diagnosis of lung cancer and how the two of them relied on one another to get through their circumstances.

Veronica’s Village

Friends and family, neighbors and strangers have cried and cheered together over the years through Veronica’s challenging journey. The support of this community has had an immense impact on Veronica and truly helped her and her core caregivers. Without the unwavering support, she would not be where she is today.

Birdie’s care has resulted in substantial expenses. Many members of Veronica’s Village generously donated to get Birdie the care she needed. To each person, please accept a heartfelt thank you for the tremendous support.
